How to use the online alarm clock

An hour is the interval people are worst at estimating, which is why an alarm for it earns its keep. It is roughly the drive from Dubai to the outskirts of Abu Dhabi on a clear road, roughly a gym session with a shower afterwards, and roughly the length of a parking session in most paid zones.

It is also the standard slot for anything professional: a consultation, an interview, a lesson, a service appointment. Setting the alarm at the start rather than watching the clock is the difference between finishing on time and discovering at the end that the last ten minutes were rushed.

In the cooler months it is the sensible outdoor unit — an hour on the beach, an hour in the park, an hour of walking before the sun gets high enough to matter. The preset sets the alarm one hour ahead of the current time and begins counting immediately.

Can I use an hour alarm for a parking session?

As a reminder, yes, but check the session against the parking service itself. A browser alarm will not sound if the tab has been closed in the meantime.
