How to use the online alarm clock

Thursday is the last full working day of the week here, and the alarms set for it split cleanly in two: the ones that are about finishing something before the weekend, and the ones that are about leaving early enough to beat the Thursday evening traffic out of the city.

Both are worth timing. The service counters are at their busiest of the week, the courier cut-offs are earlier than people expect, and the roads towards Hatta, Al Ain and the east coast begin filling in the late afternoon rather than at six.

This preset counts to your chosen time on the next Thursday. Because the interval can run to nearly a week, the alarm should be treated as a convenience alongside a proper reminder rather than as the only thing holding the plan together.
