These terms govern your use of dubai-ti.me and the tools on it, including the alarm clocks, timers, stopwatch, countdowns, calculators, calendar and public holiday pages. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Provided as they are

The tools are made available at no charge, as they are and as they happen to be available at the time. Reasonable care is taken to keep them accurate and working, but no guarantee is given that they will be uninterrupted, free of error, or suitable for any particular purpose you have in mind.

Do not depend on a browser alarm

The alarms and timers here work only while the page is open and the device is awake. A tab can be closed by accident or discarded by the operating system to free memory. A laptop lid closes, a phone locks its screen, a battery runs out. Silent mode, do not disturb and a muted tab each suppress the sound while leaving the page looking entirely healthy. Any one of these will stop an alarm that was set correctly.

For that reason these tools must not be relied on where missing the alarm would matter: medication, a flight, an examination, a shift, a legal or financial deadline, or anything involving safety. Use a dedicated alarm clock or your device's own alarm application for those, and treat this site as a convenience for the moments in between.

Dates, holidays and calculations

Public holiday dates, calendar information and calculator results are provided for general reference. Most UAE public holidays follow the Hijri lunar calendar and are confirmed by official announcement close to the day, dates can be varied by Cabinet resolution, and the observance of a holiday may differ between the federal government, individual emirates and the free zones. Before relying on any date for an employment, contractual, immigration or financial purpose, confirm it against the relevant official source.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the law of the United Arab Emirates, no liability is accepted for loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, this site — including a missed alarm, an incorrect calculation, or reliance on a date shown here. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and any rights you have under UAE consumer protection legislation are unaffected by anything written here.

Intellectual property

The text, design and code of this site are protected under Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyright and Neighbouring Rights and remain the property of the site's operator unless stated otherwise. You may use the tools for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Copying, republishing or redistributing substantial parts of the content or the code is not permitted without permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the operation of the site, not to request pages at a rate that degrades it for other visitors, and not to use it for any purpose that is unlawful under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on countering rumours and cybercrime.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and by the federal laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai, and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
