How to use the online alarm clock

Sunday is the quieter half of the Emirati weekend, and it carries a particular kind of alarm: the one that exists to stop the day disappearing. The metro opens later than on any other morning, the roads are at their lightest, and it is entirely possible to reach the middle of the afternoon having done nothing that was planned.

It is also the evening on which the week is set up again — bags packed, uniforms found, and the early Monday alarm put in place before anyone is too tired to think about it. A Sunday alarm is as often for the evening as for the morning.
