Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on dubai-ti.me and how to control them. It sits alongside the privacy policy. The United Arab Emirates has no standalone cookie regulation of the kind found in Europe; consent is sought here because Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 treats consent as the ordinary basis for processing personal data, and because it is the correct way to treat a visitor either way.
Consent, and what it does
Nothing beyond the strictly necessary is loaded on this site until you have made a choice, and declining is a real option rather than a formality. Refusing non-essential cookies costs you nothing at all: every alarm, timer, calculator and calendar page behaves identically whichever answer you give.
Strictly necessary storage
Alarm and timer settings, calculator inputs, display preferences and the record of your cookie choice are saved in your browser's local storage. Without them the tools cannot do the job you came for — a timer that forgot its own setting on every page load would not be a timer. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
Analytics cookies
If you consent, a visitor counter loads and may set a cookie or a similar identifier so that repeat page views within one visit are not counted several times over. It exists to show which pages are used and which are not. If you decline, the script is never requested and no such identifier is created.
Advertising
No advertising cookies are used on this site at present. Should advertising be introduced, this policy will be updated to name the partners involved and to describe what they set, and consent will be sought before any such cookie is placed.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and stored data in your browser, after which you will be asked again on your next visit. Cookies can also be blocked or deleted site by site in your browser settings.
Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and Site settings, where storage for an individual site can be inspected and cleared.
Safari: on a Mac, Settings then Privacy then Manage Website Data; on an iPhone or iPad, Settings then Apps then Safari, where website data can be cleared and cross-site tracking blocked.
Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data, which allows stored data to be cleared and future handling to be configured.
Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Changes
This policy will be revised if the storage used by the site changes. [Insert last updated date.]
