The academic year is a month old by the end of September and running at full pace. There is no scheduled break in it: the first pause after the August start is the winter holiday in the second half of December, which puts September 2028 inside the longest continuous teaching block of the three terms.
The 30 days of September 2028 lose nothing to a public holiday, so the count is set entirely by the weekends. It is one of only three months on the UAE calendar of which that is true in every year from 2026 to 2030, and it gives September one of the highest working-day totals of the twelve.
September 2028 closes with the equinox behind it and the evenings shortening. October follows with the end of the summer proper, the reopening of the outdoor venues, and the European clock change at the end of the month that widens the gap to London back to four hours.
