The Prophet Mohammed's Birthday falls in July in two of the five years from 2026 to 2030 and in August in the other three, marking 12 Rabi al-Awwal. It is a single day off, and where it lands on a Saturday or Sunday it produces nothing at all — UAE law does not shift a holiday that collides with the weekend, in July or in any other month.
July opens the third quarter of 2028 and the slowest trading quarter of the four. Decisions wait for September, projects run at reduced staffing, and the corporate calendar effectively pauses for six weeks, while the schools, the construction sites and the shipping all continue on entirely separate schedules of their own.
July 2028 closes with August ahead of it and no relief in that. The humidity peaks in the month that follows, the academic year restarts in its final week, and the Prophet's Birthday falls in August in three of these five years rather than in July.
