From 15 June the midday break rule takes effect and runs to 15 September: work in direct sunlight is prohibited between 12:30 pm and 3 pm across the country, enforced by the Ministry of Human Resources with substantial penalties. Construction moves to a split day, starting before sunrise and resuming in the late afternoon, and the sound of a site at 5 am becomes the ordinary sound of June 2028.
Leave in June 2028 starts moving in the last week, when the school year ends and the first wave of families leaves. Anyone without children tends to hold on until August, by which point the offices are already thin and the country is at its emptiest of the twelve months.
