January is the month the country lives outdoors. The Dubai Shopping Festival runs from December into the middle of it, Global Village is at the midpoint of its season, and the desert campsites, beach clubs and rooftop terraces work at capacity because the weather finally allows it. Three of the five years from 2026 to 2030 also see Ramadan begin during January, which reshapes the second half of the month entirely.
