Back at the school gate for a second drop-off run, you restart the countdown while your child gathers a bag and water bottle. Two minutes and four seconds gives you a defined window for the handover without treating the minute-limited parking bay as spare waiting space. The alert marks when a quick goodbye has begun to stretch.

With another child or forgotten item still to handle, consecutive countdowns keep each stop separate. Restarting the same window after the first handover is clearer than mentally subtracting time while watching the gate, nearby cars and school staff directing traffic. Each alert belongs to one task, so a delay during the first run does not quietly consume the time allowed for the next.

At a busy UAE school entrance, shape the window around what actually happens at the kerb. A child already wearing a backpack may need less time, while retrieving sports kit from the boot or walking from a bay farther along the street may need more. If repeated runs regularly finish before the alert, shorten the next window; if they overrun, allow more time or prepare bags before entering the parking area.
