No public holiday is fixed to February, but every one of the five years from 2026 to 2030 carries part of Ramadan inside it, and in three of those years Eid Al Fitr falls in February as well. During the fast the working day is shortened by two hours under the labour law, which reshapes the month far more thoroughly than any single day off could.

Where Eid Al Fitr falls inside February, three consecutive days come out — and where any of the three meet a Saturday or Sunday they are lost rather than moved, which is the largest single source of variation in the UAE calendar.
